Code of Conduct for the SCA Committee
The Silverleaves Conservation Association (SCA) is a voluntary community based
organisation focused on preserving the natural environment, indigenous vegetation and the
local habitat for wildlife, working to protect and rehabilitate the foreshore, coastal inlet and
public land including the Silverleaves Reserve and road side reserves.
The committee plans and manages local activities and engages with the Silverleaves

updates to its membership on its program of work.
Committee members must act in the best interests of the SCA and its membership and
demonstrate responsiveness to members’ needs, acting with integrity by being open and
honest, making the best decisions for the membership, being accountable for what we do,
treating everyone with respect, letting members know what the SCA does and how it acts
and managing our relationships with stakeholders well.
The Committee will manage its operations, finances and reputation and will act in the best
interests of members and to benefit the Silverleaves environment and its community. The
Committee will appropriately manage possible risks and conflicts of interest and duty.
